TOR Beta and my views

For you that don't know, I'm a massive gamer, yeh massive is a little bit of a understatement in a way.

When i heard TOR made by Bioware was doing a beta just a month before release and it was open to everyone, i was elated, jumping off my seat, broke the light, destroyed some things, as I'm sure many hardcore fans did, hardcore, even soft core this game has had a massive following maybe of which in the MMO world has never been seen, although after playing only what 5 or more MMO's don't know if i can say that, really, but its been massive, huge, just big, like chuck norris big, or as many star wars, well OR heads would say Revan (one of the most bigged up small kids ever seen but hey i like him also so i guess i'll say woo revan but yeh its been huge.

So here in my opinion are must first impressions, and yes i'm a TORhead but this is balanced

For a Beta, it is very good in my opinion, polished and even though people are complaining about the graphics, yes the graphics are not wow! guys its like i have a real life sexy women I've created in front of me. Although after watching you-tube Hengest doesn't need that! So we won't be clogged with people just checking out each other.. i know some people do that...

Anyways i would say otherwise maybe sometimes the lag i get in buildings although that could just be me, but i was struggling in places like the Senate house on Coruscant and the Jedi temple on Tython just to move around, although i did get use to this in the end, and with the amazing dialogue and game play, it more than makes up for the downfalls the graphics and the lag have. Although if i'm honest they're not major, this is probably just to do with Beta if I'm honest.

One thing i must say, the dialogue and storyline from the start is better than anything i've experienced in the MMO world, it beats and i know people are going to want to hear this, and some will hate it, but WOW hands down on story, even the side quests, you really want to complete and help Mr joe nobody on the side of the street. Although i will admit after a while it does become maybe tiresome the side quests, and really the only reason this happens is because of the main storyline and you just want to do that and don't want to do your side quests to level up.

One major thing i enjoyed and after playing old republic 1 and 2 knew i would enjoy is the companion characters you get, the two i experienced in my opinion where brilliant, i played jedi knight and it really was enjoyable, and Kira and T7-01 where both really good additions to my character, making playing a breeze and fun more over. Also going back people like Hengest will enjoy Kira also.. so you have that aspect also.

Furthermore, dialogue is fantastic, great choices, options, light side dark side, wow Bioware i must say, you really pulled off another brilliant role playing game, tho this time making it an MMO, truly amazing.

Ok, yes, i do sound a little bit biased, i really wanted some bits too tear up, but you just can't, they have produced what they wanted to produce, and it will live for a very long time to come.
